Tall Ship Cruise in the Southern Cyclades, Greece

Quest has teamed up with Ponders Travel to offer a magnificent photographic holiday cruise on the Star Clipper in the South Cyclade Greek islands. Our holiday will start with a BA flight to Athens and 1 night & 3 course dinner at the St George Hotel Lycabettus overlooking the Acropolis. Then we board the magnificent Star Clipper & sail off to Rhodes with its bustling capital Rhodes Town & hidden gem of a beach at Lindos. Then on to Bodrum & King Mausuolu's Tomb (one of the seven wonders of the Ancient World). Next we stop to see the turtles & grottos of Dalyan River on the Turkish coast. Back to Athens via the fabulous caldera of Santorini with its white-washed blue-domed villages high on the cliffs, & finally Hydra with the spectacular view from the monastery of Ilias.

 

The cruise will offer fantastic opportunities to take wonderful photographs, both on board and of course in many of the locations that we will visit. With that in mind, Tom will offer a hands-on courses throughout the trip to help everyone from beginners get used to basic camera techniques through to advanced creative techniques to inspire seasoned photographers. The focus will be mostly on travel-style images, but there will be opportunity to shoot portraits, landscapes, & of course sunsets in the most beautiful settings. Anyone interested in photography will want to capture the best memories they can from the trip, & Tom will help them do exactly that & how best to edit and share them with friends & family. Hour long morning classes will focus on 'Setting Up And Using Your Digital Camera’, ‘Mastering Phone Photography - taking images/re-touching’, ‘Improving Composition’, ’How to Shoot Travel Photography’, ‘Post Processing & Basic Photoshop and Lightroom Techniques’ and ‘Make Your Images Stand Out Like A Pro’

This is as much a holiday as a photo workshop. An ideal vacation for the photography enthusiast with a partner who is perhaps not quite so photography obsessed! Participants can dip in and out of the photo sessions as they wish whilst making the most of the wonderful opportunities a cruise on a beautiful tall ship has to offer...
