Berlin & Prague
10 - 17 April
(8 days, 7 nights. 6 guests)

A two-centre workshop, in two of the most photogenic cities in the world! We will spend 4 days in Berlin - a blend of the ultra modern with fascinating history. Our hotel (Motel One Upper West) is an architectural marvel in itself & then we will visit the Norman Foster designed roof of the Reichstag, the modern buildings of the parliament area, the 1920's modernist Shell House & the Bauhaus Archive. The Glass Cube is a riot of reflective surfaces just outside the Central Station, & we will visit some of the bizarre buildings too - the Tempodrom theatre and the Bier Pinsel. On day 4 we will transfer to Prague (3 hrs by train) for 3 days. What a contrast! Fairytale architecture, cobbled streets & sweeping river views. The style is mainly Gothic, for example: the Charles Bridge & The Old Town Square with its medieval clock. St Vitus Cathedral & Golden Lane are full of colourful 15th century houses. Finally, we will make sure we capture superb images of the Dancing House before flying back to the UK. Accommodation will be 4* hotels. Exertion: moderate - we will be walking around the cities.
Price: £1900. There is a £500 single supplement. £500 deposit. Travel: The cost of the workshop includes train travel from Berlin to Prague but not the outward or homeward flights to Berlin and back from Prague. Cost does not include food or drinks.
