Northern Ireland with Tom Peck & David Robinson.
12-18th Sep (6 nights, 7 days). Max 7 places
Fantastic beaches, dramatic countryside, photogenic harbours, quaint pubs and a lovely B&B, all in a landscape that has inspired films such as Game Of Thrones. Quest is looking forward very much to a trip to the coastline of Northern Ireland in late 2022!
We will of course visit the spectacular well known locations - early, or late, light at Giant's Causeway and Dark Hedges etc, but also lesser known locations like the waterfalls at Glenariff, Glenoe and Dunseverick, ruined castles at Dunluce and Kinbane, and the lighthouse at Fanad Head. The beaches are huge - great for vista photography at sunset with the light reflecting off the wet sands at Ballycastle and Whiterocks Beach Portrush. We will travel inland to the sand dunes at Murlough Nature Reserve and visit the stone circle at Ballynoe. We will also include a trip into Belfast to photograph the fantastically modern Titanic Centre (think mono, long exposure drama). We will stay in the lovely Londonderry Arms Hotel in Carnlough which is a great base for exploring this dramatic area of the UK. September is an excellent time to visit - fewer tourists, but still good light & good weather although "bad weather equals great photographs", and in N Ireland we may well get a spot of rain...!
Price £995 (deposit £200) Single supplement £200. Price includes all travel during the workshop & accommodation + breakfast & is based on shared en-suite twin or double rooms. It does not include dinner or travel to/from N Ireland.
