Newsflash
More good news! After a three-year absence, Colin Westgate’s darkroom is back! He is, therefore, now available for darkroom tuition, either on a ‘one to one’ or small group basis. A week of darkroom workshops in July is included in this programme, covering everything from basic and advanced printing, to specialised techniques, alternative processes and print mounting and presentation (the latter is also suitable for digital printers).

| About |
Quest Photography and Colin Westgate FRPS MFIAP APAGB Quest Photography was established by Colin Westgate in 1994 following a career in Banking. Having had a lifelong passion for photography, the opportunity to work professionally in the medium was one not to be missed. The main function of Quest is photographic tuition, with the emphasis on personal attention and value for money. As well as leading workshops himself, a number of nationally known guest tutors are invited. These are photographers with special experience and expertise in their particular field. Colin Westgate commenced his interest in photography in 1959, and it quickly became an essential part of his life. He works mainly in the landscape, both in colour and monochrome, and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society in 1976. He has exhibited throughout the world, gaining many awards, and in 1990, obtained Mastership of the International Federation of Photographic Art - at the time only the second British photographer to earn this distinction. He is also a Member of the London Salon of Photography, the Arena group, Eastbourne Photographic Society and United Photographic Postfolios. He sits on the panels for the Royal Photographic Society’s Licentiateship distinctions, and for Associate & fellowship in Photographic Printing. He lectures and judges at Camera Clubs throughout the U.K., and has been a selector at a number of International exhibitions. |
